Mit einer angekauften und nach der Tour wieder verkäuften Yamaha 660 Tenéré – 13.005 km durch Brasilien. São Paulo, Parati, Rio de Janeiro, die lebhafte Altstadt von Salvador, dann ins Landesinnere: Diamantina, Chapada Diamantina und die eindrucksvollen Höhlen, die kaum jemand kennt.
Der absolute Höhepunkt: das Pantanal. Die großte tropische Feuchtlandschaft der Erde, mit einer Tierdichte, die in dieser Form nirgendwo sonst existiert. Jaguare, Kaimanfresser, Kapuzineraffen, Riesenottern, Jabirü-Störche – alle in der freien Wildbahn, alle gut zu fotografieren. Die Transpantaneira und die Sandpisten in Tocantins waren die einzigen echten Offroad-Abschnitte.
Zusätzlich: Bonito mit seinen glasklaren Flüssen zum Schnorcheln, Chapada dos Veadeiros, Brasília, Paraguay und Foz do Iguaçu. Den Süden rundete ein Besuch des privaten BMW-Museums in Curitiba ab – sensationell für einen Motorradliebhaber. 9.027 Fotos, 480 ausgewählt.
On a bought-and-sold Yamaha 660 Tenéré – 13,005 km through Brazil. São Paulo, Parati, Rio de Janeiro, the vibrant old town of Salvador, then into the interior: Diamantina, Chapada Diamantina and the impressive caves that almost nobody visits.
The absolute highlight: the Pantanal. The world's largest tropical wetland, with a density of wildlife that exists nowhere else. Jaguars, giant otters, capuchin monkeys, jabiru storks – all in the wild, all photographable at close range. The Transpantaneira and the sand tracks in Tocantins were the only real off-road sections.
In addition: Bonito with its crystal-clear rivers for snorkelling, Chapada dos Veadeiros, Brasília, Paraguay and Foz do Iguaçu. The south rounded off with a visit to the private BMW museum in Curitiba – sensational for a motorcycle enthusiast. 9,027 photos taken, 480 selected.
